Thermal treatments have proved their effectiveness. However, thermal activity should not rest there! Thermal spa resorts possess a whole climactic and medical environment which should be used for health purposes, creating centres dedicated to health education and maintaining quality of life. Already, we are able to determine what these new “life health” centres will be. First of all, they will rely on the fact that thermal activity offers global therapy which is able and takes the time to consider the individual in all its physical and psychological components. Then, it will be beneficial to determine in which fields thermal activity could be most effective, firstly, nutrition and breaking drug dependency. The goal is to make the spa resort, in addition to its cure-giving purpose, a genuine “university of free time” dedicated to health.”
